Harry Potter fans, I have some very surprising rumors for you. It seems that maybe Chistopher Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire, Stepmom, Harry Potter and the Sorerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) may not direct the third installment of the Harry Potter Series, Harry Potter and the PRisoner of Azkaban. Rumors have been circulating that Alfonso Cuaron (some film spoken in Spanish with English subtitles, that I've never heard of) will be directing the latest movie in the series. If this is true, than I think the Harry Potter movies are going to be in serious jeopardy. While Mr. Columbus is very experienced and has many award-winning movies under his belt. Mr. Cuaron haws only directed one movie. I and along with many others hope that this rumor is fictitious. The second rumor is that the latest release date of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be June 3rd, 2003. The was announced on British radio. Harry Potter fans, I have some good news. One of our fellow fans sent me a tip that gives a possible release date for the latest book in the Harry Potter Series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. The tipster has asked for their name not to be revealed. Here is a portion of her statement: ... we are making the paper for the newest book (for about two weeks now) This is significant because we only start the paper when the publishers have an exact page count and binder thickness so we can set the paper caliper (thickness), Translation: the book needs to be finished with only final editing before we make the paper. Normally takes about two months for the printers on such a large run, that puts the book hitting the newsstands on about end of Aug. beginning of September...
